Two young men from Landenberg, New Garden Township, have been selected by their team managers as KAU Little League’s Players of the Week.
For his overall “consistency and productivity,” Logan Hall of the American Legion team is the KAU Majors Division Player of the Week. According to his team manager, Tim Reiter, Hall “played heads-up baseball at bat, on the bases, and in the field this past week.” Hall plays primarily shortstop and leads the American Legion team in stolen bases.
He is the son of Trish and Glenn Hall and is in the 6th grade at Kennett Middle School.
Ryan Wright of the Exelon Shockers is the Minors Division Player of the Week. Making his first start as a pitcher on Saturday, Wright gave up one run in three innings, struck out five, and did not walk a batter. He drove in two runs in the Shockers’ win and had a .750 on-base percentage during the week.
A fourth-grader at New Garden Elementary School, he is the son of Stacey and Michael Wright.
